This study compared material removal rates in micro-EDM and conventional EDM. Experiments were conducted using copper electrodes and varying discharge energies from 20 microjoules to 3000 microjoules. The results showed that at lower discharge energies below 100 microjoules, the material removal rate was higher on the cathode, while at higher energies above 100 microjoules, the anode removal rate was greater.
