What is Caffeic Acid and Caspase Inhibition in Osteosarcoma about?
1) Caffeic acid has been shown to induce apoptosis in MG63 osteosarcoma cells through caspase signaling pathways including caspase-8, -9, and -3. 2) Pretreating MG63 cells with a pan-caspase inhibitor, Z-VAD-FMK, prior to caffeic acid treatment significantly diminished caffeic acid-induced apoptosis. 3) The study aimed to further investigate the role of caspases in caffeic acid-induced apoptosis in MG63 cells by inhibiting caspase activity.
