What is Measuring Perceived Production Complexity about?

The CompleXity Index (CXI) is a method developed to measure perceived production complexity in manufacturing environments, specifically tested at Volvo Cars Corporation. The method aims to identify problem areas affecting operator performance and facilitate improvements by visualizing complexity at various stations. The study indicates that CXI is reproducible among respondents and can guide further analysis and enhancements in production processes.
