This study investigates the optimal composition of mixed carbonate molten salts for phase change thermal storage in Concentrating Solar Power (CSP) plants. A total of 36 mixed carbonate salts were analyzed for their melting points and latent heat, leading to the identification of 13 cost-effective ternary carbonates with significant latent heat potential.
