The e ect of a thin lubricating ÿlm of a power-law uid between a bulk ow and a solid surface can be accommodated by a new slip-ow boundary condition. The applicability of this condition in boundary layer theory is explored and numerical similarity solutions are presented for plane stagnation-point ow. The amount of velocity slip is controlled by a single dimensionless lubrication constant.
