A fire mock drill was conducted at the Academic Block West Side of Azim Premji University in Bhopal on April 15, 2023 at 8:02 AM. During the drill, a laborer smoking caused a fire that the emergency response team contained by 8:09. All staff and workers were evacuated to the assembly point by 8:12, where they received a briefing on fire safety and emergency procedures. The mock drill concluded successfully at 8:18 with no casualties or property damage.
