The Johnson Wax Administration Building in Racine, Wisconsin was commissioned by H.F. Johnson Jr. and designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1936. Its most identifiable feature are the 30 foot tall dendriform columns that terminate at the roof in 18 foot wide concrete lily pads that are connected by Pyrex glass tubing, illuminating the interior workspace with diffused natural light.
