This study assessed junk food consumption among 142 secondary level students in Chitwan, Nepal. The researchers found that more girls (53.5%) consumed junk food than boys (79.6%), and most respondents were aware of what constitutes junk food. The top reasons for consuming junk food were taste (90.1%), ease of preparation (44.4%), and influence of TV ads (15.5%). All respondents consumed foods like chips, noodles, and doughnuts.
