What is Prolog: A Relational Language And Its Applications By Malpas, John By John Malpas By Chris Cohen By Chris Cohen By Chris Cohen By Chris Cohen By Chris Cohen By Chris Cohen By Chris Cohen By Chris Cohen about?
This book is directed at programmers who already know one or more programming languages, and who are interested in: (1) Prolog, (2) logic programming, and (3) applications of artificial intelligence. As a result of reading the book (and doing the exercises!), a reader should gain facility in both representing problems in Prolog and technical Prolog programming. To some extent, these skills are transferable to other computational formalisms now used in artificial intelligence. An attempt is made throughout the book to illustrate some of the interesting aspects of logic programming theory with practical code, and thereby to demonstrate the usefulness of theory.
