This study investigates the relationship between patient understanding of nutrition counseling and dietary compliance in Type II Diabetes Mellitus patients at William Booth Hospital Semarang. Results indicate that 55% of patients had insufficient understanding and poor diet compliance, with a statistically significant correlation (p = 0.030) between the two. The findings suggest that enhancing patient education through structured nutrition counseling can improve dietary adherence.
