What is Summary of Paradise Lost Book 9 about?
Satan returns to the Garden of Eden under the cover of night, entering the sleeping serpent. The next morning, Adam and Eve go to work but Eve convinces Adam to let her labor separately, wanting to test her strength alone. The serpent finds Eve alone and uses flattery and deception to convince her to eat the forbidden fruit from the Tree of Knowledge. Eve eats the fruit and shares it with Adam, who also eats. They then realize their nakedness and argue with one another, having disobeyed God.
