What is History and Evolution of Xote Dance about?

The xote is a dance originating from Germany called Schottisch, which arrived in Brazil in 1851 brought by an immigrant. The slaves observed the dance and adapted it with their own movements, distancing it from the original German version. Currently, the xote can be found in various regions of Brazil mixed with other Latin rhythms and is one of the most popular dances in the country.
