About this document

Hampel Committee on Corporate Governance by Damanpreet Chahal is a document available to read on EtoBox.

The Hampel Report was set up in 1998 to review and revise the Cadbury and Greenbury reports on corporate governance in the UK. It recommended principles similar to Cadbury but less demanding, and gave more focus to pension funds as institutional investors. The report aimed to harmonize previous recommendations to provide clarity on issues like the roles of directors and shareholders, and accountability and auditing.
