Respondent Judge Francisco Brillantes Jr. was accused of Gross Immorality and Appearance of Impropriety for cohabiting with Yolanda De Castro in the house of the complainant Lupo Atienza. Brillantes had married Zenaida Ongkiko in 1965 and fathered five children but claimed this marriage was invalid. He also married Yolanda De Castro in 1991.
