It allows devices like lighting, HVAC, blinds and more to communicate via a common connection. KNX supports both decentralized peer-to-peer communication between devices as well as centralized control through a dedicated application. A KNX system can be scaled from a single line of devices up to multiple areas and a backbone line connecting many areas together.
