What is CAVLC in H.264 Video Encoding about?
CAVLC is the context-based adaptive variable length coding used in H.264 to encode quantized DCT coefficients. It encodes the coefficients in a zig-zag order, and codes the number of nonzero coefficients, trailing ones pattern, coefficient levels, embedded zeros, and zero locations.
