What is St. Martin about?
The peasants and beggar complain about the cold winter weather and lack of food and firewood. When Martin and his soldiers pass by, a beggar asks for help but the peasants cannot provide any aid. When the soldiers tell the beggar to leave, Martin decides to cut his cloak in half and give one part to the beggar to keep warm. The beggar thanks Martin, and an angel appears to praise Martin
