What is Park 2013 about?

This study compares the clinical outcomes of short (7-10 days) versus prolonged (>10 days) antibiotic therapy for children with uncomplicated Gram-negative bacteraemia. The findings indicate that prolonged antibiotic treatment does not significantly reduce the risk of microbiological relapse and may be associated with an increased risk of candidaemia. The authors suggest that these results warrant further investigation in a larger, prospective study.
