This document evaluates the physico-chemical properties of soil samples from 3 blocks in Malda district, West Bengal. 27 soil samples were collected from 9 villages at depths of 0-15cm, 15-30cm, and 30-45cm and analyzed using standard techniques. The results found sandy loam to loam soil texture with bulk density of 1.33-1.81 Mg/m3 and good water holding capacity of 44.71-59%. Soil pH was slightly acidic to alkaline at 6.29-8.15.
