Hindustan Unilever Ltd (HUL) reported a 7% rise in net sales for the first quarter ending June 2019. Net sales were Rs 9,984 crore, with volume growth of 5%. Net profit increased 15% to Rs 1755 crore. While market growth has moderated, HUL delivered a resilient performance driven by expanding its consumer base, improving its product mix, and sustaining growth in margins, according to HUL Managing Director Sanjiv Mehta.
