The musical Show Boat had its debut performance on April 23rd, 2016 at the Winspear Opera House in Dallas, Texas. Based on the novel by Edna Ferber, with music by Jerome Kern and lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, Show Boat is set on a Mississippi show boat from 1880 to 1927 and follows the lives of performers and their families.
