A VAT refund is money paid back to a trader when their tax liabilities are not used up by allowable deductions, resulting in excess credits. To apply for a refund, a taxable person submits form VAT ITX260.02E along with a certificate of genuineness from a registered auditor and tax consultant, and a computation of the refund amount.
