The Supreme Court suspended Atty. Edgar S. Orro from the practice of law for two years for gross negligence and misconduct in handling a case for complainants Angelito Ramiscal and Mercedes Orzame. Orro failed to file an appellate brief and a motion for reconsideration on their behalf despite being paid additional fees for those purposes. He also failed to inform them of the adverse appellate decision until they learned of it from neighbors. The Court agreed with the Integrated Bar of the Philippines
