What is Periapical Lesion Progression in Mice about?

This study investigates the progression of periapical lesions and cytokine expression in normal and LPS hyporesponsive mice. Results showed no significant differences in lesion progression or cytokine expression between the two mouse strains, suggesting that LPS responsiveness may not be crucial in the development of periapical lesions induced by non-specific oral flora. The findings indicate that the immune response to LPS does not significantly affect the pathogenesis of these lesions.
