Importing Shapefiles into TransCAD by jonathan is a document available to read on EtoBox.

To import shape files into TransCAD, open TransCAD and the file to add the shape file to. Click the layer button, add layers, and select the shape file. Set the coordinate system to North American NAD 83 (US State Plane) zone 3200 for North Carolina. Change the units and click okay to import the shape file and its associated tables as a new layer.
