What is Tisagenlecleucel: Cytokine release syndrome and immune effector cell-associated neurotoxicity syndrome: case report about?

Cytokine release syndrome and immune effector cell-associated neurotoxicity syndrome: case report In a study involving 4 patients who received anti-CD19 CAR-T cells after haematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) and achieved early complete response, 3 patients (2 boys and 1 girl) aged 13 month-17 years were described, of whom, 2 patients developed cytokine release syndrome during treatment with tisagenlecleucel for B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (B-ALL). The remaining patient developed cytokine release syndrome and immune effector cell-associated neurotoxicity syndrome during treatment with tisagenlecleucel for B-ALL [routes, dosages and durations of treatment to reactions onsets and outcomes not stated]. Case 1: The 17-year-old man was diagnosed with high-risk t (1:19) B-ALL. His condition relapsed 20 months after a matched unrelated donor (MUD) HSCT. He received tisagenlecleucel infusion 1.7 × 106 cells/kg. Subsequently, he developed grade II cytokine release syndrome (CRS) secondary to tisagenlecleucel. Early evaluation showed complete response and full donor chimerism. Following 4.5 months of tisagenlecleucel infusion, he presented with peripheral blood mixed chime
