About this document

Soundness of Steel Slag: CaO & MgO Effects by neetika tiwari is a document available to read on EtoBox.

This study investigated the soundness of steel slag with different contents of free CaO (f-CaO) and MgO used in concrete over 4 years. Five types of steel slag with varying f-CaO (2.09-4.96%) and MgO (4.68-7.68%) contents were used to prepare concretes cured for 4 years. Testing showed that steel slag with 4.96% f-CaO led to unsoundness and failure of concretes, while slag with ≤2.09% f-CaO was satisfactory. Steel slag with up to 7.68% MgO did not negatively impact compressive strength. An autoclave test fu
