This study investigated seed-feeding insects that damage seeds of Senna corymbosa in Brazil. Ripe fruits were collected monthly from May to August 2014. Over 3,500 seed beetles emerged from stored fruits, 89% belonging to the species Sennius lateapicalis. The insects consumed up to 43.2% of the internal seed content. This is the first report of seed-feeding insects on S. corymbosa. The study contributes to describing the fruits, seeds, associated bruchine species, and the damage they cause to seeds.
