About this document
Rapid Prototyping Overview by Lelogix by mech430 is a document available to read on EtoBox.
Rapid prototyping (RP) uses additive manufacturing technologies to automatically produce physical objects from 3D CAD files. The RP process involves slicing a 3D CAD file into thin layers, then fabricating the part by adding material layer by layer. Two common RP methods are stereolithography (SLA) and selective laser sintering (SLS). SLA uses a UV laser to cure liquid photopolymer resin into layers, while SLS uses a laser to fuse powdered material. Both methods can produce prototypes and some end-use parts
