What is AUE Smoke-Free Campus Proposal about?

This proposal recommends making the American University in the Emirates a smoke-free campus. Smoking among university students is increasing and causes health issues like cancer, heart and lung disease for both smokers and non-smokers exposed to secondhand smoke. A smoke-free policy would protect student health and encourage smokers to quit. Several studies show the negative health impacts of tobacco smoking and exposure to secondhand smoke. A smoke-free campus would provide a clean environment for students
