- Plastic waste in water bodies causes harm to wildlife, environment, and humans. It is difficult to manage plastic waste that washes ashore from rivers and oceans. - A rectangular coastal sea bin is designed with non-return flaps facing the waves to trap floating plastic garbage. As waves pass through, plastic will enter the bin through the flaps but the bin will not hinder wave movement. - A 3D model of the coastal sea bin at a scale of 1:12.5 was created to simulate and test the design.
