A female leopard gecko was presented with dystocia (egg binding) and had failed to pass two shelled eggs after over a week. Radiographs confirmed the presence of two eggs. Percutaneous ovocentesis was performed under anesthesia to aspirate the contents of the eggs in order to reduce their size and allow natural passage. Less than 36 hours later, the now-empty eggshells were passed, resolving the dystocia. This technique of percutaneous aspiration of retained eggs was an effective alternative to surgery for
