This study examined academic stress, the relationship between students and their parents, and academic achievement among adolescent students in Kathmandu, Nepal. The study found that nearly half of respondents experienced moderate academic stress and about a quarter experienced high stress. Most respondents reported a favorable relationship with both parents. There was a significant relationship between academic stress and previous academic achievement, and between academic stress and mothers
