About this document
Classifying Housekeeping Genes Using Naive Bayes by geovanny avendano is a document available to read on EtoBox.
This document describes using a Naive Bayes classifier to classify genes as housekeeping or tissue-specific based on their physical characteristics. The classifier was trained on known housekeeping and tissue-specific genes from human, mouse, and fruit fly. It achieved 97% accuracy for human genes, 95% for mouse, and 92% for fruit fly. The classifier was then used to predict new housekeeping and tissue-specific genes for each species. The predicted genes adhered to expected functions and expression patterns
