The man, who had poorly differentiated lung adenocarcinoma and nonbacterial thrombotic endocarditis, for which he had been receiving enoxaparin sodium [enoxaparin; route and dosage not stated], presented to hospital with acute stroke. Multiple analyses were performed, during which he experienced another embolic stroke with haemorrhagic conversion. The occurrence of stroke despite enoxaparin sodium prophylaxis was interpreted as a lack of efficacy.Therefore, the man underwent percutaneous vacuum assisted aspiration thrombectomy, resulting in a favourable course.
