Cyclic Loading Effects on Piles in Sand by Er Rutvik is a document available to read on EtoBox.
An experimental study was conducted to investigate the behavior of model piles in sand under cyclic lateral loading. Tests were performed using an apparatus that applied static and cyclic loads to instrumented model piles embedded in sand. Results from three representative tests show that the maximum bending moment induced in piles and accumulated pile deformations depend more on the magnitude of cyclic load than on the number of cycles. The study provides insight into how cyclic lateral loading affects pil
