What is Thor Heyerdahl: Life and Legacy Insights about?

Thor Heyerdahl was interested in collecting things and climbing as a child. As an adult, he attempted a raft journey across the Pacific Ocean to prove it was possible for people to migrate from East to West, against academic thinking. He wanted to use only ancient techniques and local materials. His journey was influential in archaeology by showing how weather could shape cultures and how people survived. Critics said his book about the journey had an old-fashioned tone.
