Cutaneous larval migrans, also known as creeping eruption, is caused by hookworm larvae penetrating human skin. The larvae are unable to complete their lifecycle in humans and wander aimlessly in the epidermis, causing skin irritation. Dogs and cats are the definitive hosts, where the larvae mature into adult worms in the small intestine. Diagnosis is usually based on symptoms and history, though larvae can sometimes be seen in skin biopsies. Ivermectin is the treatment of choice, killing the larvae within
