Graphene is a single layer of graphite. Bonding within graphene layers is the same as in graphite layers, with identical carbon hybridization and average carbon-carbon bond lengths. Graphene has very high electron mobility of 15,000-200,000 cm2 V-1 s-1 due to delocalized pi electrons, unlike diamond which lacks these electrons.
