What is Stafne Bone Defect Prevalence Study about?

This study evaluated over 17,000 panoramic radiographs to investigate the prevalence of Stafne bone defects (SBDs) in a Brazilian population. Only 15 cases of SBD were found, representing a prevalence of 0.08%. The SBD cases were mostly found in middle-aged men and presented as well-defined radiolucencies in the posterior mandible.
