About this document

2013 Dauvilliers by zcb123yhn is a document available to read on EtoBox.

This study assessed the efficacy and safety of pitolisant, a histamine H3 receptor inverse agonist, in treating excessive daytime sleepiness (EDS) in narcolepsy patients compared to placebo and modafinil. The trial involved 95 patients over an 8-week period, where pitolisant showed a significant reduction in EDS compared to placebo, but was not non-inferior to modafinil. The findings suggest that pitolisant could be a new treatment option for narcolepsy if further studies confirm these results.
