This study investigates the cancer risk in individuals with autistic disorder using data from the Taiwan National Health Insurance database. The findings indicate that patients with autism have a significantly higher risk of cancer, with a standardized incidence ratio (SIR) of 1.94, particularly among males and those aged 15-19 years. Notably, there is an increased risk for genitourinary cancers, including a notably high SIR of 9.21 for ovarian cancer.
