What is Electrochemical and spectroelectrochemical properties of a new stable composite film electrode platinum phthalocyanine–poly-bisphenol-A-carbonate about?
AbstractÐA new composite electrode PtPc±poly-bisphenol-A-carbonate of reticulate structure is characterized by two anodic and four cathodic redox transitions in propylene carbonate electrolytes. Investigation of the anodic part of the CV at the slow scan rate 0.02 mV s À1 displays very narrow peaks 25±50 mV at half height with a large constant potential dierence (pd) H0.4±0.5 V between anodic and relevant cathodic maxima. The oxidation at relatively high scan rates results in a new peak, which is interpreted as the dispersion of PtPc in the polymer matrix. The incorporation of carbon into the composite signi®cantly improves the performance of electrode, but does not in ̄uence pd. Electrochemical oxidation in TBAPF 6 at 0.5 V leads to the transformation from the monoclinic to the tetragonal crystal lattice, the growth of electronic conductivity to H0.1±1 SÁcm À1 , positive thermopower H10 mVÁK À1 , a new absorption band at 553 nm and a uniaxial ESR signal at helium temperatures.
