About this document
Nafion Membranes in Vanadium Flow Batteries by SureshBharadwaj is a document available to read on EtoBox.
This study compares the performance of different thicknesses of Nafion membranes for vanadium redox flow batteries (VRFBs). Nafion membranes with thicknesses of 50, 88, 125, and 175 μm are tested in VRFBs at current densities from 40 to 320 mA cm-2. The self-discharge, efficiencies, electrolyte utilization, and cycling stability of the VRFBs are compared. The 125 μm Nafion 115 membrane shows the highest energy efficiency and electrolyte utilization at current densities from 120 to 240 mA cm-2.
