Dadsonite is a monoclinic or triclinic lead antimony sulfide mineral that forms as fibrous needles up to 2 mm in length, typically in aggregates resembling steel wool. It is a gray mineral with a metallic luster and distinct anisotropism. Dadsonite forms in hydrothermal veins associated with other sulfides and lead sulfosalt minerals. It is found in Canada, the United States, Germany, and France. Dadsonite was named after Canadian mineralogist Alexander Stewart Dadson.
