What is Fort Lauderdale Aquatic Center Renovation about?

The City of Fort Lauderdale is renovating its Aquatic Center with a budget of $27 million. Hensel Phelps Construction was awarded the contract in 2018 to renovate the facility, including expanding the main pool, adding a new diving pool and tower, repairing the training pool, and building a new grandstand and bleachers. Additional elements to be designed include renovating the locker rooms, enhancing the entry plaza, and adding a 27M dive tower. The project is scheduled to be completed by December 2022.
