This study examines depression among older people in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. It compares rates of depression between older people living in the community versus living in care homes. The study found higher rates of depression among those living in care homes compared to the community, and lower levels of social support were associated with increased depression. Living arrangements, social support, and other demographic factors were examined in relation to depression among older people.
