What is AHA 2010 CPR Guidelines Overview about?

The 2010 AHA guidelines for CPR recommend initiating chest compressions before ventilation. The new guidelines removed checks for breathing after opening the airway and recommend 30 chest compressions followed by 2 breaths. Beginning CPR with compressions provides a shorter delay to the first compression compared to the old guidelines which recommended 2 initial breaths.
