About this document
Natural Selection in Peppered Moths by athena, the oikawa simp is a document available to read on EtoBox.
Natural selection acted on peppered moths in industrialized areas of England. There were two forms - speckled and dark. Before 1850, most tree trunks were light in color and speckled moths had higher survival. After 1850, pollution darkened trees and the dark form had higher survival and became more common. Regulations in the 1950s reduced pollution, lightening trees, and the speckled form then had higher survival again.
