This study investigated the effects of protein versus carbohydrate breakfast on energy expenditure and intake following exercise in active men. Results showed no significant differences in fat oxidation, energy expenditure, or post-exercise energy intake between the protein and carbohydrate breakfasts. The findings suggest that pre-exercise protein intake does not enhance fat oxidation or affect appetite compared to carbohydrate intake.
